Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Safari Briefing
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Rest, relax, and enjoy a safari orientation before the adventure begins. Accommodation: Highview Hotel / Mount Meru Hotel Meals: Bed & Breakfast
Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Elephant Paradise
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, a less-crowded gem famous for its giant elephant herds, baobab trees, and the life-giving Tarangire River. The park is especially rewarding in the dry season (June to October), when animals gather in large numbers. You'll see lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and even rare species like the oryx and gerenuk. It’s also a haven for birdwatchers, with over 500 species recorded. Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Home of the Migration
Travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Enjoy an en-route game drive through Serengeti Central (Seronera), renowned for predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Watch the sun set over the savannah as you settle into your tented camp. Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Big Five Safari
Today’s highlight is a full-day game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The crater's floor is teeming with wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, hyenas, lions, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool and soak in this unique ecosystem, one of the best places for Big Five safaris in Tanzania. Day 5: Return to Arusha – Departure or Zanzibar Extension
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha with optional stops at local artisan shops or a Maasai cultural village. You’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport or catch a flight to Zanzibar for a relaxing beach escape. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
